Manchester City have slapped a massive £137m price tag on Leroy Sane as they try to fend off a continuing interest from Bayern Munich
Ever since the transfer window started, the Bavarians have been persistently trying to capture the German’s services, after Niko Kovac and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge named him as their first summer objective.
Although everyone close to the reigning Bundesliga holders is still confident of pulling off the deal, the Citizens are adamant the 23-year-old won’t leave the Etihad Stadium this transfer session.
A few days ago, sources from England and Germany indicated that Bayern prepare an €80m bid for the former Schalke winger, but it won’t be enough to persuade the Premier League heavyweights to sanction the move.

The Citizens have slapped a staggering price tag on their jewel in their bid to keep hold of him even though the player reportedly accepted to swap the Etihad for the Allianz Arena.
Meanwhile, the Reds are unlikely to drop their interest in Sane so easy, but Manchester City’s stratospheric demands may scare them off.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey has already been mentioned as a backup option for the Germany international, with Bayern reportedly ready to close the deal for the Jamaican starlet in the forthcoming period.
