Mauricio Pochettino believes Tottenham Hotspur can only improve as the season goes on, insisting the London giants can reach the top-four finish in the Premier League
Stuck in the middle of the table after a dreadful start to the 2019/20 campaign, Spurs have grabbed just three wins in ten of their opening league games, suffering four defeats in the process.
Winless in their last three Premier League outings (D1, L2), last season’s Champions League runners-up sit just four points clear of the relegation territory, with the pressure piling on the Argentinean manager.
Speaking of his side’s current situation in the build-up to their Sunday clash against Everton, Pochettino has admitted he is frustrated with Tottenham’s start, insisting things can improve over the course of the season.
“The most important thing is how we’re going to finish, it’s not this moment,” he said. “It’s not nice to see us in the middle of the table, but that’s the reality that we need to accept and by accepting that we can only improve.

“If not you’re going to struggle. In our minds, we need time, need to be strong, be solid and start to win.
“We need to be positive, feel that positivity and make us believe that we can beat any team.
“At the moment we struggle with our confidence, we drop a lot. That’s only time.”
Tottenham head to Goodison Park on Sunday to take on a team they’ve not lost to in 13 consecutive top-flight head-to-head meetings (W7, D6).
Pochettino will be desperate to see his side register their first Premier League away win since late January and bring a disastrous 11-game winless league away run to a halt (D2, L9).
