Maurizio Sarri seeks reunion with Chelsea midfielder

Chelsea talisman N’Golo Kante is reportedly seen by Maurizio Sarri as the final piece of the jigsaw for his Juventus midfield

Almost impeccable when defending but very calm on the ball, the Frenchman is a perfect modern midfielder and has righteously earned a reputation of one of the best in Europe.

Sloppy playing out from the back has caused Sarri a headache against Atletico Madrid, Napoli, and Fiorentina, with his midfielders gifting away possession cheaply across all of those matches.

Ex-Napoli boss is now eager to fix those problems by securing the services of a player who can receive the balls from defenders and keep possession when under pressure.

Although Sarri has the likes of Sami Khedira, Blaise Matuidi, Adrien Rabiot, Emre Can, and Rodrigo Bentancur at his disposal, none of them is comparable to the pint-sized France international.

Familiar with Kante’s qualities during their time at Stamford Bridge, the Italian tactician is keen to reunite with the cornerstone of the Blues midfield, according to FourFourTwo.

Former Leicester City man has three years left on his contract, but his future in London has been hanging in the balance for quite some time, with Real Madrid reportedly keeping a close eye on the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

Los Blancos have already reached out to the Pensioners hierarchy to ask about Kante’s availability and have allegedly struck a verbal agreement with Chelsea over the midfielder’s future.

However, the Premier League giants are desperate to fend off interest from both Juventus and Real Madrid and have, therefore, slapped a massive £70m price tag on their star.
