Mbappe: It won’t be same without Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain talisman Kylian Mbappe has revealed his stance over Neymar’s future amid rumors of his impending exit

The Brazilian forward is currently at a crossroads between PSG, Barcelona, and Real Madrid, with his future emerging as one of the hottest topics this summer.

While the 27-year-old already expressed his expectation to return to La Liga, neither Los Blancos or the Catalans have yet to confirm their intention in fulfilling his will.

Still, after Thomas Tuchel left Neymar out of the PSG squad for the Ligue 1 opener against Nimes, the Blaugrana have reportedly stepped up their interest in the former player.

According to some reports from Spain and England, the reigning La Liga champions have offered Philippe Coutinho and Nelson Semedo plus €50m to bring the prodigal son back home.

However, Neymar’s partner in crime, Kylian Mbappe, is hopeful that the Parisian will keep hold of his fellow teammate, admitting that life without Neymar will be different for PSG.

Talking about the club’s ambition this season and whether they can improve on last year’s results, the Frenchman said.

    “It depends, we will try.

“But we will not lie; we must also see what will happen with Neymar.

“It’s not the same team without Neymar as it is with him. But we will try to do it for the fans.”

Superstar duo has made an immeasurable contribution to PSG’s back-to-back Ligue 1 titles, bagging 93 goals and adding 37 assists altogether for the past two league campaigns.

A series of injuries have prevented the ex-Santos star from making a larger impact in Paris, but even so, he has gobbled 51 goals and 29 assists across all competitions over the past two seasons.
