Lazio midfield ace staying in Rome: Agent

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s agent has crushed rumours of Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain making a late bid for the Lazio star, saying his client will stay in Rome.Milinkovic-Savic is considered one of the best breakthrough talents in world football today, with his swashbuckling performances at the Stadio Olimpico catching the attention of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.Real Madrid, Chelsea, AC Milan and Manchester United have all registered an interest in the 23-year-old midfielder yet no concrete offers have eventually materialised but recent reports mentioned his agent, Mateja Kezman, have met with PSG sporting director Antero Henrique at a Paris Hotel, fuelling suggestions the Ligue 1 club are attempting to finalise a last-minute deal to take the Serbian midfielder into the glamourous streets of the French capital. However, Kezman has quickly dispelled such reports in an interview with Corriere dello Sport. “Milinkovic will stay in Rome and continue to play for Lazio,” said the agent. “Lots of false rumours have spread throughout the summer.”The Italian newspaper added that the Serb will instead be offered an improved deal by Lazio that will see Milinkovic-Savic stay in the Italian capital until 2023 and his salary doubled to €3 million.
