N’Golo Kante laughs off Real Madrid interest

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has refused a switch to Real Madrid, stating he is happy at Stamford Bridge

The 27-year-old is currently the Blues’ highest-paid player after extending his contract back in November.

But, frequently used out of his preferred position by Maurizio Sarri, the World Cup winner has been enduring a rough few months at the Pensioners.

In spite of his recent drop-off in form, Kante has attracted the interest of Real Madrid, who are expected to spend big in the summer.

On the eve of France’s Euro 2020 qualifiers clash with Iceland, the former Leicester City man has ruled out a potential transfer to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

“I am at Chelsea, and I still have aims here. What is said elsewhere is not important.”

“That is not important. I am at Chelsea, and I am focused on that.”

La Liga giants have already prioritized a move for Kante’s fellow teammate Eden Hazard and are said to be looking to complete a double swoop by including the Frenchman in the deal.
