Chelsea have completed the signing of the Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic due to holding his registration
Arrived at the Stamford Bridge on loan from Real Madrid back last summer, the 25-year-old has become an integral part of the Blues team, registering 51 top-flight appearances for the London outfit.
The World Cup runner-up with Croatia has helped Chelsea win the Europa League trophy and finish third in the Premier League last season.
After exceeding expectations in his debut season in the Premier League, the Pensioners hierarchy splashed out €45m to secure his services for another five years.

Although the English giants are banned from completing new signings until summer 2020, they managed to keep hold of the star midfielder due to holding his registration.
Pleased to see his long-term future tied down to the West London side, Kovacic has expressed his delight after the deal went through.
“I really enjoyed my season on loan with Chelsea. I feel comfortable at the club and like London and the Premier League very much. I am very happy to be able to join permanently.”
“We had a successful year, winning the Europa League and I hope I can make a big contribution in the coming seasons.”
