Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted he would ‘like’ to see Paul Pogba get back to action by the end of the season
Pogba has not featured for United since the end of the December when he has picked up an ankle injury, and there are growing speculations regarding his summer departure.
Juventus and Real Madrid are both in contention for his signature and will try to lure him away from the Premier League as soon as the summer transfer window opens.
The Frenchman has barely played for the Red Devils this season due to various physical problems, recording just eight appearances in all competitions without scoring a single goal.
Solskjaer has now confirmed he would ‘like’ to see Pogba at his best again, urging him to work hard to regain his fitness and form.
“Well, of course, I’d like to say that, as soon as he gets fit, he’ll be good enough to play for the team. I’m sure Paul’s desperate to play for us again.” the Norwegian said, as reported by the Daily Mail.

“As a player, the last thing you want to be is injured. Paul’s a footballer, and he wants to play football.
“He knows he has to work hard now to get back to his best. He’s been out now for so long now, it’s a challenge for him as well to get back into shape.”
Despite Solskjaer’s recent statement, there is a genuine feeling that the 26-year-old will not be playing for United next season.
Pogba himself has done little to encourage United fans to think otherwise and has instead tried to force his way out of the club on multiple occasions in the past.
The uncertainty over his Old Trafford future has seen the Red Devils set sights on Leicester City’s James Maddison and Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, as Ed Woodward looks to provide his manager with some top-class players for the 2020/21 season.
