Barcelona misfit Philippe Coutinho has opted not to join Tottenham Hotspur on loan on the penultimate day of the Premier League transfer window
The Spurs have tried to snap up the Brazilian playmaker a season-long and have accepted to match the Catalans’ £21m demands for a temporary deal.
However, the former Liverpool man has decided to remain in Barcelona or wait for other Premier League giants to come up with an offer rather than joining Mauricio Pochettino’s crew.

With less than 48 hours left before the transfer window in Englands slams shut, it is hard to expect any of Arsenal and Manchester United would meet the Blaugrana’s asking price.
The Gunners have been trying to bring in Coutinho on a temporary basis but have so far refused to pay the amount Barcelona are asking for letting the 27-year-old leave for one season.
As things stand at the moment, Coutinho will remain at the Camp Nou for another season and fancy his chances under Ernesto Valverde.
