Premier League giants keen on Leicester City’s James Maddison

Faced with a potential departure of Christian Eriksen, Tottenham Hotspur have already started looking for potential replacements

The 26-year-old playmaker hesitates to extend his current contract with the Spurs, with several major Europe clubs looking to take full advantage of this stalemate situation.

Although Daniel Levy fights tooth and nail to persuade the former Ajax man to remain in London, he has to make a backup plan in case his efforts come a cropper.

According to The Guardian, the London outfit has already identified Leicester City’s James Maddison as Eriksen’s heir should the Denmark international leave next summer.

Great technique, exceptional vision, and the pinpoint accuracy in passing make Maddison a perfect replacement for the Danish star.

However, although no transfer fee has been mentioned, the 22-year-old certainly won’t come cheap, especially considering his performance with the Foxes this campaign.

The former Norwich City midfielder has established as an indispensable first-team member immediately upon his £20m arrival at the King Power Stadium.

The skillful Englishman has registered 23 Premier League outings under Claude Puel this term, managing five goals and four assists in the process.
