Jerome Boateng edges closer to departing Bayern Munich after eight years of service, according to reports from England and Germany
Established himself as an indispensable member of the Bavarians backline ever since his arrival from Manchester City back in 2011, the 30-year-old has racked up over 170 top-flight outings for the Bundesliga giants.
However, the World Cup winner with Germany has fallen out of favor with Niko Kovac, with Niklas Sule becoming Mats Hummels’ partner in the heart of Bayern defense.
Now, after capturing the signature of Atletico Madrid’s Lucas Hernandez, the club chiefs have informed Boateng that he is surplus to requirements, paving him the way to leave Munich this summer.
