Wolverhampton Wanderers have launched a massive £30million bid for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, as they look to beat Arsenal to the Italian’s signature
After reconciling with the loss of the captain Laurent Koscielny, who departed for Bordeaux earlier today, the Gunners have prioritized the signing of a new central defender.
Although Unai Emery holds a long-standing interest in Rugani, his initial offer to bring the player to the Emirates Stadium was snubbed by the Bianconeri earlier this summer.
Apart from Rugani, Emery is also keen on RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano, as well as, Barcelona star Samuel Umtiti, although the former seems unreachable due to his high value.

The Spanish manager is now one step away from missing out on one of his top defensive targets, as Wolves approached the Serie A giants with a formal £30million bid for the 25-year-old, according to The Times.
Nuno Espirito Santo has failed to capture the signature of Valencia centre-back Mouctar Diakhaby at the beginning of the transfer window and has now directed his attention towards the former Empoli man.
After bringing Matthijs de Ligt on board, the defending Serie A champions have deemed Rugani surplus to requirements and will look cash in on him by the end of the ongoing transfer session.
