Real Madrid have reportedly struck a verbal agreement with Chelsea over N’Golo Kante after failing to land the player this summer
Los Blancos were looking to hire the 28-year-old in the summer transfer window, but Chelsea’s transfer ban has forced the Blues to retain the highly-rated midfielder.
Zinedine Zidane had been looking to bolster his midfield options after missing out on signing Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, and former Leicester City star has emerged as a potential candidate, as well as, Ajax’s Donny Van de Beek.

According to the story, if Chelsea decide to sell Kante in the summer of 2020, they will alert Real Madrid, who will have the option to match any bid from elsewhere. #CFC pic.twitter.com/j8xgK7TdZj— The Blues (@TheBlues___) September 11, 2019
As per The Sun, the Premier League giants appreciated Real’s gentlemanly behavior during negotiations so much that they’ve accepted to ship Kante to the Bernabeu should they opt for sale.
It means that La Liga giants will be aware should some club make an approach for the France international or the Pensioners decide to dispose of him.
If everything goes as planned, the Frenchman will follow in the footsteps of his former teammate, Eden Hazard, who linked up with Zidane’s crew in the summer.
