Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly negotiating a potential swap deal that would see Keylor Navas head to Paris while Alphonse Areola goes the opposite direction
Frustrated with his current situation at the Santiago Bernabeu, the Costarican goalkeeper is understood to be favoring a move away from the Spanish capital for regular first-team action.
Although Zinedine Zidane has recently ruled out Navas’ departure, labeling him as an important first-team member, the 32-year-old may still leave Los Blancos before September 2.
Hopeful that they can take advantage of Navas’ current status at Real, the Parisians have jumped in offering the experienced shot-stopper an escape route from the Bernabeu.

La Liga giants have initially been asking for €20million to sanction the transfer, but they are now looking to take Alphonse Areola in return for their second-choice keeper, according to ESPN.
Ever since Gianluigi Buffon left the club to move back to Juventus, the reigning Ligue 1 holders have been hunting his replacement, and Navas has emerged as the likeliest candidate.
However, although the 26-year-old Frenchman offers La Liga experience, having previously spent one season at Villarreal, Zidane is still not fully convinced with the prospect of letting Navas leave Los Merengues.
