Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly negotiating a sensational swap deal that would see Karim Benzema and Harry Kane switching allegiances
Kane has long been in the crosshairs of Florentino Perez, who is desperate to land a top-class forward to fill the gap left by Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.
A very few players can replicate the Portuguese’s numbers, and the prolific 26-year-old striker is absolutely one of them, which puts him high on Perez’s list of priorities.
However, Spurs are playing hardball with all the clubs interested in their talisman and are unwilling to lower a staggering €200m price tag slapped on the player.

Although Los Blancos’ president has deemed Kane’s valuation excessive, he will try to overcome that obstacle by inserting Karim Benzema in the deal.
According to the Daily Express, the negotiations between the parties are well underway, with the London giants looking to extort €120m plus the Frenchman’s services.
The 31-year-old striker has recently become the highest-paid player at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Spurs are reluctant to make additional efforts to match his whopping salary.
Tottenham’s firm stance on Kane’s availability and Benzema’s stubbornness when it comes to his wages could ruin Real’s plan of overhauling their attacking department next summer.
Perez will continue to work around the clock to pull off the deal and persuade both the Premier League outfit and his wantaway forward to move from their current positions.
Should his efforts come to fruition, La Liga heavyweights could end up signing one of the most lethal strikers in the world nowadays ahead of the 2020/21 season.
