Ajax starlet Donny van de Beek will reportedly sign for Real Madrid after all, according to the latest reports from Spain and England
Van de Beek was close to signing for the Bernabeu outfit last summer before Zinedine Zidane pulled the plug on the deal, hoping to sign his compatriot from Manchester United, Paul Pogba.
But, after the Red Devils’ talisman skipped the majority of the season due to injuries, Los Blancos have rekindled their interest in the 22-year-old midfielder and are now on the verge of completing the transfer.
As per the Daily Mail, La Liga giants and the reigning Eredivisie champions have found an agreement on the basis of €55million for the Dutchman to move to Spain next summer.

Indeed, the Spanish outlet, Marca, confirms Van de Beek will not leave the Lancers before the end of the season when he is expected to wear the famous white shirt.
Van de Beek’s signing doesn’t necessarily exclude Pogba’s arrival at the ranks of the Madrid heavyweights, but the Frenchman’s switch to Spain remains on hold for now.
Zidane has been searching for a long-term successor of the aging Luka Modric, who has been playing in an astonishing form this season, but Luka, 34, has already entered the autumn of his career.
Although the two are not the same type of players, Van de Beek’s versatility enables him to cover multiple positions in the middle of the park, including the role of a deep-lying playmaker.
