Real Madrid slap price tag on in-demand Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale seems to be counting down his last weeks at Real Madrid, as reports from Spain indicate he has fallen out of favor with Florentino Perez

Having endured an underwhelming season when many were expecting him to step up following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure, former Tottenham Hotspur star has failed to live up to expectations.

Fourteen goals and five assists in 38 top-flight outings for Los Blancos are far below Bale’s standard, which is why Zinedine Zidane won’t be opposing the Welshman’s transfer in the summer.

However, the reigning Champions League holders have no intention of letting their unsettled star leaving the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu for pennies.

According to the Spanish outlet, AS, Florentino Perez requires €130 million to sanction Bale’s departure, with Bayern Munich and Manchester United keeping close tabs on the player.

The Premier League giants have been heavily linked with a move for the 29-year-old on multiple occasions this season and their interest could become concrete at the end of the season.

With the Red Devils knocking on Champions League doors again, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to reinforce his squad in the summer, as the 3-time Champions League winners intend to return to the top of English and European football.

Meanwhile, La Liga heavyweights have a long-standing interest in United’s cornerstone Paul Pogba and may be proposing an exchange should Manchester decide to go all out for Bale.
