Marco Asensio has reportedly returned to the Real Madrid squad for the Champions League knockout stage, according to recent claims in England and Spain
Asensio picked up a severe knee injury during the off-season tour in the United States and has undergone surgery that has forced him out of action for the entire season so far.
Although he was initially expected to miss out on the whole 2019/20 campaign, the 24-year-old has recently started off individual training sessions to speed up the recovery process.

As per the British publication, Sports Mole, Los Blancos have included the left-footed forward in their Champions League list after shipping Alvaro Odriozola out to Bayern Munich on loan.
Although he will feature the Champions League squad, Asensio will skip Real‘s first leg against Manchester City and is given the slightest of chances to return to the fold for the return fixture.
The Spaniard has scored six goals in 27 Champions League appearances for the Madrid powerhouse, with two of them turning out to be the winners.
