Romelu Lukaku enjoys his life at Inter Milan

New Inter Milan No 9, Romelu Lukaku, has admitted he feels great scoring goals for his new club following Sunday’s away win over Cagliari

After a 4-0 demolition of Lecce in Serie A curtain-raiser, the Milanese giants pulled off a tight 2-1 away victory over Cagliari join Juventus and Torino at the top of the league table.

Joao Pedro scored a goal for the hosts, but Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku made sure the visitors walk away with all three points.

The Nerazzurri fans didn’t have to wait long to see the club’s record €80m signing paying back with goals.

After scoring a match-winner from a spot-kick at the Sardegna Arena, the 26-year-old went public to express his feelings for the new employers.

“I’m very happy about these first two league victories and tonight’s success. It was a tough match. We had to fight, but that’s what we’ll have to do in every game. I’m happy for the team and our fans,” he told Inter’s official website.

“To score wearing this shirt is a great feeling,” he added.

It was Lukaku’s second goal in the Inter shirt in as many Serie A outings, but the Belgium international is keen to add a few assists to his account.

“I want to help the team even more, through assists too: the goal is to continue like this.”

However, Lukaku’s goal that helped Inter maintain a 100% start has also enraged the Cagliari supporters, who tried to insult the former Manchester United man with racist chanting.

The new Inter talisman has, therefore, become the fourth victim of racial abuse at the Sardegna Arena for the last three years.
