Rummenigge labeled Zinedine Zidane as Kovac’s replacement for next season

According to the Spanish publication, Ok Diario, Bayern Munich have initiated contacts with Zinedine Zidane over a potential future collaboration.

Niko Kovac, who took charge of the team during the summer, has so far failed to live up to expectations. The defending Bundesliga champions currently trail Borussia Dortmund by seven points in the German top flight.

Meanwhile, although they top their respective Champions League group, the Bavarians are yet to impress in Europe.

Uninspiring attacking movements and frustrating defensive performances have highlighted Bayern’s season so far.

Therefore, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge considers making another change of management in the forthcoming future.

During his time at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Zinedine Zidane has wrapped up three successive Champions League trophies as well as one La Liga title.

Ever since he left Real Madrid, the 46-year-old tactician has been approached by several major European clubs, including Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, it seems that the famous Frenchman has no intention of returning to action before the end of the season.
