Sadio Mane has warned his fellow Liverpool teammates of the threat Jamie Vardy will represent in their upcoming Premier League showdown against Leicester City
Led by a strong presence of Virgil Van Dijk, the Merseyside giants boasted the best defensive record in the top-flight last term (22), but things have gone south this season.
Just two clean sheets in nine games in all competitions have cast a shadow over a highly-rated backline that seems to be enduring a torrid time.
After a tense 4-3 home victory over Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League, the Reds will have to improve on their defensive performance if they look to prevent the Foxes from scoring, according to the Senegalese forward.

The rampant Foxes arrive at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, backed by a stunning 5-0 home demolition of Newcastle United, looking to maintain momentum.
“I think if we want to win, we have to play better than [against Salzburg] because we know Leicester,” Mane said, as transcribed by the Metro.
“Especially this season, they are very strong and a very good team.
“For sure we are going to learn from it and be ready for Saturday, which will be a massive game for us.

“I think they started the season very well and are a very good team, and if we want to beat them, we have to be 100 percent ready.”
Well aware of Jamie Vardy’s form, the 27-year-old has insisted that the prolific Englishman deserves special attention.
“Vardy always scores.
“We have to make sure this game he will not score, and we try to take all our chances – that will be the key.”
