Scholes criticises United star

Former Manchester United star Paul Scholes has often voiced his distraught at the current team. This time around, he has taken a swing at main striker Romelu Lukaku. He remains unimpressed by the burly Belgian who has scored four goals in eight matches this season.
He has openly stated that Lukaku is not the ideal striker that can help United win the Premier League. Lukaku joined United in 2017 for a bumper £75 million from Everton. Despite averaging nearly a goal every two matches, Scholes believes that Lukaku lacks the proper all round play that is typical of a top striker.
Paul Scholes experienced success at Manchester United.

“I’m just not sure you are ever going to win the league with a goal scorer like him.I don’t think his play outside of the box is good enough. I’m not sure if he works hard enough but he’s still a young man who has done well and scored a lot of goals.

He’s quick and strong, but Lukaku is one of many United players who look like they’re short of confidence. I don’t think he realises how good he can be, but he needs help because who else can play centre-forward at United now?” Scholes spoke to ESPN.

Indeed, the former England midfielder has a point but Jose Mourinho does not have enough cover in that area. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have all had their fringe moments.
