Outgoing Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva has set his sights on a Premier League move, as he eyes one last high-profile contract before retiring
Thiago Silva will become a free agent come the next week, with several Premier League sides, including Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, and Wolverhampton, credited with an interest in the former AC Milan star.
Milan and Fiorentina are also in the race for the Brazilian’s signature. But, Silva’s desire to perform in arguably the most competitive football league on the planet blows the Serie A sides’ hopes of securing his transfer out of the water.
Indeed, as reported by the FourFourTwo, the 35-year-old centre-back is eager to move to England’s top-flight before hanging up his boots.
Silva spent an impressive three-year stint at Milan before teaming up with PSG in 2012 in a blockbuster €42million deal.
During his eight-year spell at the Parc des Princes, the Parisians stalwart has lifted seven Ligue 1 titles and has been captaining his side over the past five seasons.
However, Thiago Silva’s career in the French capital is drawing to a close since the reigning Ligue 1 champions refused to offer the Brazilian a new deal.
