Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping close tabs on Fiorentina winger, Riccardo Sottil, despite the youngster continues to struggle for regular first-team action
Although they brought in Steven Bergwijn from PSV in January, Spurs are looking to further reinforce their attacking unit in the summer transfer window.
As per the British outlet, Sport Witness, the London outfit consider making a move for the 20-year-old Sottil, who is widely regarded as one of the brightest Italian talents.
Jose Mourinho is keen to form up a strong attacking department in his bid to challenge England’s royalty for the Premier League title next season and is looking for young players that have room for improvement.
The highly-rated forward, who prefers playing as a left-winger but can also cover the right-wing equally well, has yet to open his account for Fiorentina.
Frankly, he has failed to establish himself as a permanent fixture in this Viola side, managing just 12 Serie A appearances so far this campaign, with nine of them seeing Sottil coming in as a late substitute.
Although he is still waiting for the opportunity to showcase his talent at the senior level, the Italy U-21 international has shone for Fiorentina youth selections and has gone through all Italy’s youth teams.
