Tottenham Hotspur suffered a shock Carabao Cup elimination to the lower-league outfit Colchester United on Tuesday night
Even though the Spurs had a 75% ball possession and produced 20 shots on target, the League Two side managed to endure the siege and eventually dump the Premier League giants out after a penalty shoot-out.
Mauricio Pochettino fielded a fairly decent starting XI, with Lucas Moura and Dele Alli headlining Tottenham attack while the 17-year-old striker, Troy Parrott, registered his senior debut for the London club.

An embarrassing loss to Colchester is a further confirmation of Spurs’ struggling this season, as it was their third consecutive failure across all competitions.
Pochettino’s men have registered just two triumphs this season, both of which have come at home and saw them score three or more goals and restrict their rivals to a maximum of one.
Tottenham will welcome Southampton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next weekend hoping to bounce back after this catastrophe, with Harry Kane expected to return to the starting lineup.
