Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has described his meeting with Manchester United’s Paul Pogba as a ‘complete chance’
Pictures of the Los Blancos manager and his long-standing target having a conversation in Dubai emerged on Friday, fuelling speculations over Pogba’s potential transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu.
While the 26-year-old went to the United Arab Emirates to treat his ankle injury – where the two were spotted together, his countryman attended the Dubai Artificial Intelligence in Sports Conference.
Immediately approached by reports to explain the nature of their meeting, Zidane has refused to admit their conversation had anything to do with the midfielder’s switch to the Spanish capital in the future.

“It was complete chance. I was there, and he was too,” said Zidane at a press conference on Friday about his conversation with Pogba, as reported by the Metro.
“Since we know one another, we spoke to each other. I’m not going to tell you what we talked about; that’s private.
“We’ve known each other for a long time. We bumped into each other, and we stopped and talked.”
Zidane labeled his compatriot as his top transfer target last summer, but the Red Devils have been adamant Pogba will not be permitted to leave Old Trafford unless Los Merengues offer £179million.
