Zlatan Ibrahimovic will follow Carlo Ancelotti to Everton

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly considering signing for Everton should his ‘friend’ Carlo Ancelotti takes over the reins at Goodison Park

Ibrahimovic is a free agent after his contract with the MLS franchise Los Angeles Galaxy run out this month and will be returning to Europe, with several clubs already trying to snap him up.

Among the most likely candidates to land the 38-year-old striker has been his former side, AC Milan, but Ibra seems to be having second thoughts over joining the fallen giants.

Now, as reported by the Daily Mirror, the ex-Sweden international is thinking about returning to the Premier League, with Everton emerging as his most probable destination.

The Toffees are enduring a challenging period and are only three points clear of the relegation zone.

Their poor run of form has seen the club sack Marco Silva, and the recently fired Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti is on the brink of becoming the new head coach at Goodison.

If the Italian manager arrives at Everton, Ibrahimovic could end up coming back to England’s top tier too, as he holds Ancelotti in high regard.

The pair have previously worked together at AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, and ‘Carletto’ has already hinted that he would like to work with Ibra again during his time at the San Paolo.
